6 Easy Tips To Beautiful, Healthy Hair

By Cole Carson

Nothing looks more beautiful than a head of full, sleek, and shiny hair. All women want their hair to fall like liquid silk, and while the “results” seen in hair-care commercials may be a bit too perfect to be real, there are numerous things you can do to improve the health and beauty of the hair you have. Here we’ll talk about six things you can do to keep your hair looking and feeling its best.

1. Wet hair is far weaker than dry hair, so make sure that when you’re trying to detangle it, never use a hairbrush or treat it too roughly. Being overly rough with wet hair can lead to a lot of breakage, so use a good leave in conditioner and comb it out with a wide-tooth comb. This will help to drastically minimize damage done to your hair while it is wet.

2. Everyone knows that using a blow dryer on your hair is a great way to damage it. Unfortunately though, the ease and convenience it brings not only time-wise, but for styling makes it a necessity to have. To minimize the damage it does though, use the “cool” setting, and make sure not to dry your hair completely. Leave a little bit of moisture in your lovely locks.

3. Everyone knows that a head full of shiny hair is just gorgeous. Unfortunately, the simple build up of hair care products and normal, day-to-day living can dull your hair out and take away that glamour. To combat this, use an apple cider vinegar rinse on your hair about once a week. Simply mix roughly one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with about four cups of water, and then pour it over your hair. This is a great way pull away all that residue that’s been dulling your hair, letting your natural color and shine come out. It gets rid of grime, and is completely natural. It doesn’t smell that great when you put it on your hair in the shower, but after you’ve dried your hair, the smell will be gone and nothing but pure shine will remain.

4. Contrary to what a lot of products say, there is no way to seal or fix split ends. If you notice any split ends on your hair, go in and get them trimmed off. Keeping split ends can result in the split gradually moving up the hair shaft, making your hair look and feel very damaged. Even if you’re growing your hair out, it’s a good idea to go in and get your ends trimmed every so often to keep it looking its best.

5. Make sure to put a deep moisturizing treatment upon your hair once a week. You can find these at any drug store, but homemade ones are natural and fun. They’re almost always made with things you’d find around your kitchen, making them easy to put together as well. Do a quick search to find any number of recipes online, so you can find one that fits your hair type as well.

6. Another important concept that can make a big difference in the appearance eof your hair is that it’s just as important to take care of it from the inside. The healthier you are, the healthier and more naturally beautiful your hair will be, and there are a few vitamins that can be added to your diet to boost the health and appearance of your hair. Vitamin B6 can actually prevent hair loss, and it also produces melanin, which will help keep your hair color more naturally rich and vibrant. Vitamin A and Vitamin C have strong antioxidants that will go a long way to improve the overall health of your hair, and Vitamin E can help promote circulation of the blood through your scalp, giving your hair a more plentiful source of nutrients.

When it comes to beautiful hair, nothing is more important than making sure it is strong and healthy. No matter what your hair color or type is, if you limit the amount of damage you inflict upon it and promote natural health, you’ll see a drastic improvement in shine, color, and overall brilliance.
